Director's Note-

Rabbit Hole is a piece that has followed me from when I first read it as a 17 year old, to now as a 33 year old mother of two. Each time I've seen it, or revisited it, I've found new things to latch onto, depending on my own journey, and my own grief.

These past two years have not only brought forth visions of despair but actual loss amongst family. The birth of my two daughters during this time is magical and joyful but brings anxiety and fear of the world around them....and I don't think I'm alone in that. As a new mother, I can truly say it was a debate in whether to direct this show due to content alone. I remind myself that David Lindsay-Abaire wrote this on the advice of writing what "frightens you the most"- the fear of losing his own son.

Like the characters in Rabbit Hole, confronting their grief and coming to terms with their past and future is at the forefront. It's not an easy journey nor should it be. I hope this play allows you to reflect on your own heartache and your loved ones, it has certainly allowed me to, and "that's fine, actually."
