CHARACTER BREAKDOWN
CHUCK - to play high school senior, man. Chuck is an awkward kid on the cusp of adulthood, who precociously understands how scary the world is and yet how beautiful it can be. He’s generally lost and lacks self confidence except for in the realm he creates; he’s the kid whose dad has yet to be proud of him. D&D is an escape from every pressure Chuck feels and the one outlet where he gets to be in control. Chuck wants to be a leader, and has within him a special power of inspiration that he’s got to discover.
MILES - to play mid 20s, man. Miles is a regular guy, ordinary in every way. He was supportive, if a little lost, when Agnes’ family died. He did everything you’re “supposed” to do — be a shoulder to cry on, leave support group pamphlets around the apartment. He’s a genuinely good guy and loves Agnes deeply, but he knows better than anyone that Agnes is hiding from her grief . . . and those sorts of walls make their relationship difficult in ways no one else sees.
VERA - to play mid 20s, woman. Vera is the best and worst counselor this Ohio high school has ever seen. She’s the type of teacher who scares everyone with her no-nonsense way of shutting down bullshit, but will give her credit card and car to students who earn her trust (and promise to go get her Starbucks). She’s Agnes’ best friend (sisters > misters), and can be a shockingly good therapist . . . sometimes.
LILITH - age variable, to play immortal Demon Queen, woman. Lilith is a Demon Queen — confident, violent, and also TIlly’s girlfriend in-game. She wields a battle axe and smites enemies with perfectly curled hair and eyeshadow. Think Hela (Thor: Ragnarok) and Irene Adler (Sherlock). Stage combat experience preferred but not necessary.
KALLIOPE - age variable, to play immortal Elf Warrior, woman or NB/gender non-conforming. Kalliope is an elf — wise to what the stars whisper, elf eyes seeing all, and a little (ok, a lot) . . . robotic. Kalliope wields a staff and the power of hotness. Think Data (Star Trek) and Legolas (Lord of the Rings) but in impractical-for-the-setting outfits. Stage combat experience preferred but not necessary.
ORCUS - age variable, to play immortal Demon Lord of the Hells, man. Orcus is so fed up with this shit! After millennia of being bothered by idiot adventurers, he’s found out the only treasure he loves is his Saturday night TV time. Too bad he made an ill-advised trade of a famous adventurer’s soul . . . think Jaskier (The Witcher) and Emperor Kuzco (The Emperor’s New Groove). Stage combat experience preferred but not necessary.
STEVE THE ADVENTURER - age variable, gender variable. Earnest. Too earnest. Bold, crazy choices with no preamble — the kind of person that bursts on the scene and leaves an impression. Think Gingy (Shrek) or Shrimp (Shark Tale). Stage combat experience preferred but not necessary.
EVIL TINA & EVIL GABBI - each to play high school senior, woman. Evil succubi who are dressed like evil cheerleaders, doing evil things evilly. Tilly’s bullies in the real world, deeply homophobic and proud of it. Stage combat experience preferred but not necessary.
